The Antifascist Zagreb project is aimed at improving public awareness—especially among young people—about antifascist resistance, heritage, and suffering during the Second World War in the Zagreb area. Through research, consultations with experts and the public, proposals for installing informational plaques at sites of resistance and suffering, and the organization of remembrance walks, the project encourages active engagement with the past and the preservation of collective memory.
In cooperation with teachers, representatives of national minorities, historians, and education experts, the project develops educational tools and approaches that enable young people to learn on authentic locations and through experiential learning. Particular emphasis is placed on involving schools and students and fostering dialogue on antifascism and democratic values.
